Instant Pot Boiled Eggs

This is your handy “how-to” guide on achieving boiled egg perfection in your Instant Pot – all you’ll need is eggs and bowl of cold water and ice! From dippy yolk to hardboiled – we have you covered.

Instructions

  1. Place the trivet/steam rack into your inner pot and place the eggs on the trivet/steam rack. Make sure the eggs do not touch the sides of the pot.
  2. Add 250ml water then secure the lid. Select Pressure cook (high) then follow the timing guideline below for your desired egg.
  3. Once the cooking program has finished, perform a quick pressure release. Remove the eggs with tongs, and plunge into ice water for 2 minutes to stop them cooking. Serve your eggs as desired yolk.

Pressure cook timings for medium eggs:

  • 3 mins: Gently set white, and fully liquid yolk – The dippy soldiers egg.
  • 5 mins: Set white, and soft set, jammy yolks – Perfect for salads!
  • 6 mins: Set white, near completely set yolk – Great for meal prep, salads and egg mayonnaise sandwiches.
  • 7 mins: Set white, crumbly yolk – Ideal for Devilled eggs.
